What is PrivdNote (in plain English)?

Updated · 5 min read

PrivdNote helps you share a short message privately with a one-time link. When the recipient opens it, the note is gone. That’s it — quick and simple.

Why people use it

  • Send a Wi-Fi password to a guest without keeping it in chat history.
  • Share a temporary link with a colleague for a quick task.
  • Hand off a short code during support or on-call work.

How it works at a glance

  1. Write your message.
  2. Choose when it should expire (for example: after first read).
  3. Share the link. After it’s opened, the link won’t show the message again.

FAQ

What does “one-time” mean?
The note is meant for a single view. After it’s opened, it won’t show the message again.
Is this hard to use?
No. Write, pick expiry, share the link. You’re done in under 5 seconds.
Do I need an account?
No account is required to create or read a note.
Can I add extra peace of mind?
Yes. Add a passphrase and share it separately (for example, link by chat, passphrase by text).
Do you keep logs of my data?
No. We don’t keep permanent logs of your notes. Once a note expires or is viewed, it’s gone for good.
Is everything encrypted?
Yes. Notes are encrypted in transit and stored encrypted until they expire. We can’t read them ourselves.
How safe is it really?
Your data is never stored in plain text, and nothing sticks around after expiry. Share the link, and when it’s gone, it’s gone. No history, no traces.
